I have used J B Gow & Son for several years now both in my own home and for my business premises. I find them to be helpful, professional, good value, friendly and 100% trustworthy, and have absolutely no qualms about leaving them in my house to work while I’m out.

The work they have done include being involved in the building of a large commercial shed, replacing steading doors, replacing a dropped ceiling, building a bespoke dressing room and many other smaller projects. They have just finished dealing with my kitchen ceiling which needed to be removed and replaced due to a flood from above – they were very quick in responding to my request, their quality of work was exceptional (as always) and all work was completed quickly.

I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending them for any project both domestic or commercial.

I needed anew canopy over my front door. Mark did some research and sent a link for me to view what was available. I made my choice and when the canopy was sourced it was fitted most professionally, the old one taken away and the front of my property left clean and tidy. I am over the moon with the new canopy! Excellent trustworthy building contractor – highly recommend

We used JB Gow after the company was recommended to us by a local architect, our house had a burst pipe and all floors, some ceilings, internal walls and plaster had to be removed and reinstatement work done, our house is B listed and unique in character, we were worried about the quality of work but had no need to be, JB Gow were excellent from day one on quoting for the work and throughout our dealings with them, the work took just under 6 months and the communication and level of service was absolutely excellent, I would highly recommend this company and when we plan to do some further building work ourselves they will be the only firm we look to use, they made a very stressful situation so much better for us and the quality of all their staff is second to none
